Town & Country Market

You really need FoodRadar to find this hidden gem

I’m pretty sure that if you are not from South Salt Lake, there is no way you would ever expect to find this place.  I work not too far away, and only found it through a mutual friend, but Town and Country market is home to some great tasting sandwiches, that are VERY well proportioned and absurdly affordable prices.  Downtown residents may point to Grove Deli and Market as a place where you can get tasty sandwiches along with a large variety of cookies, drinks, and salads.  This is the South Salt Lake version.

The Sandwich Counter

I would recommend the turkey on your first visit.  And if you get the turkey, you HAVE to get Town & Country’s fantastic avocado spread.  They put such a healthy amount of crushed avocado that it is too much for a knife, they have to use a spatula to get that green delicious magic on the sandwich.  You can choose from a variety of breads, cheeses, and toppings to go along with your sandwich.  Town and Country also provides a good selection of soups, salads, and hot dogs!  At this point you might be wondering what the big deal is?  There are tons of places to get a sandwich in the Salt Lake Valley.  Why would you venture into the heart of South Salt Lake for a sandwich?

The reason I love this place so much is this.  See that huge sandwich above you?  That will only run you $5.39.  An incredible deal if you ask me.  That same sandwich at other delis will set you back between 7 and 10 dollars.

I know this is somewhat short of a review, but that is kinda what I like about Town & Country.  It is a no-nonsense kind of place.  Great Sandwiches and great prices, and very friendly and quick service.  Gotta love it!  And don’t forget the market fresh fruit and vegetables also available here!
